Prototype Privacy Notice

Last updated: 16 July 2026

Prototype wording pending formal legal review.

Who we are

NeuroStory Library is a pre-launch research and development project of DEDA Services Limited. For privacy questions or requests, email thededaservices@gmail.com.

Scope

This notice covers the NeuroStory Library prototype website, the active adult parent/caregiver feedback form and professional enquiries received by email. NeuroStory Library is not yet a live children’s service.

Parent and caregiver feedback

The parent/caregiver prototype-feedback form is active and is provided through Google Forms. It does not ask respondents to provide their name or email address. It asks for adult confirmation, broad support context, general age range, views on the prototype, feature preferences, indicative future-use responses and optional written feedback.

Professional enquiries

SEND professionals and organisational representatives may contact DEDA Services Limited through thededaservices@gmail.com. A professional email may include the adult sender’s name, professional email address, role, organisation and professional observations.

Why information is used

  • To evaluate the clarity, relevance and accessibility of the prototype.
  • To guide research and development of the first MVP.
  • To understand professional safeguarding and implementation requirements.
  • To respond to professional enquiries.
  • To discuss an Expression of Interest or possible future pilot only where requested.

Lawful basis

DEDA Services Limited relies on legitimate interests to evaluate voluntary adult prototype feedback, improve the proposed service and respond to professional enquiries. Development updates will be sent only where an adult has requested or consented to them.

Child personal information

The interactive demonstration uses fictional data and pre-written content. It does not ask for, store or process child personal information. Visitors, form respondents and professional contacts must not provide a child’s name, diagnosis, photograph, school, address, health information, EHCP information or any other identifiable child details.

External services and hosting

Google provides the external parent/caregiver form and may process account or technical information under its own privacy terms. Email enquiries are processed through the sender’s email provider and DEDA Services Limited’s Google email account. The website-hosting provider may process standard technical and security logs. DEDA Services Limited has not added advertising trackers, marketing cookies or child-profiling services to this prototype.

Retention

Prototype feedback and professional correspondence will be reviewed at least annually. Adult feedback and professional contact information will be deleted or anonymised when no longer needed and ordinarily no later than 24 months after submission or the last meaningful professional contact, unless longer retention is necessary for a legal obligation or established business record.

Sharing

DEDA Services Limited does not sell feedback or contact information. A professional response will be referenced confidentially to professional advisers, potential funders or endorsing bodies only with permission. An organisation’s name, logo or comments will not be used publicly without separate written permission.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, adults may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. Requests should be sent to thededaservices@gmail.com. Individuals may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.

No automated decisions or clinical service

The prototype does not make automated decisions about children. NeuroStory Library is not a medical diagnostic tool, does not provide clinical advice and is not a substitute for qualified professional support.
