Pre-launch prototype for research and feedback — NeuroStory Library is currently in development and is not yet a live children’s service.
About
About the project and founder
NeuroStory Library is a pre-launch research and development project exploring how stories can adapt to the way each neurodivergent child understands, communicates and learns.
The problem
One story format does not suit every child. The same everyday situation — a school morning, a hospital visit, a new bedtime routine — can require very different language, cognitive demand, communication formats and sensory presentation depending on the child.
A SEND-focused adaptive-storytelling proposition
NeuroStory Library is developing adaptive stories and adult-facing tools that tailor language, cognitive load, communication format and sensory presentation to individual SEND needs. The initial age focus is 4–10.
The experience is adult-mediated: a trusted parent, caregiver or SEND professional chooses safe support preferences and shares the story with the child. This keeps the child’s interaction gentle and keeps decisions about presentation with the adults who know the child best.
How development is being informed
Development is informed by market research, prototype testing and verified early parent and caregiver feedback. Independent SEND professional feedback is now being sought. The project remains at the pre-launch research and development stage.
Founder
Founded by Elizabeth Daniel, NeuroStory Library is being developed through market research, verified early parent and caregiver feedback, and ongoing prototype testing. Independent SEND professional feedback is now being sought to shape the first MVP.
